It is my pleasure to announce the first edition of the Pan American Music Festival which will be held at the Fine Arts Complex of the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinbug, TX, from June 2-7, 2008.
We are excited with the new format for this summer music program, which will include noon and evening concert performances, technique classes, master classes, private lessons, teachers training sessions, and an instrument repair workshop.
Double bassists joining me for the festival will be Sonia Ray, Professor at the Federal University of Goiás in Brazil and Gudrun Raschen, Jeff Bradetich's Teaching Assistant at UNT. Double bassists will have a lot going on (bass ensembles too!) and great performance opportunities.
