The BBC National Orchestra of Wales is involved in extensive concert radio and television work such as the London Proms and it appears at many of the major UK festivals. It has a growing list of gramophone recordings and has developed an international reputation, having undertaken tours of Europe, Japan and America.

The BBC National Orchestra of Wales will relocate to a new home in the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay from December 2008. The new hall is to be called BBC Hoddinott Hall.
