- with obligation to play 5-stringed bass
Audition: Friday June 6th 2008 10 am
Audition repertoire:
Dittersdorf: Concerto in E Major, 1st and 2nd movements -
with Grubers cadenzas
Bottesini: Concerto No. 2 in B minor, 1st movement
Plus orchestral excerpts, which will be sent two weeks prior to the audition.
Applicants must use orchestral tuning.

Aalborg Symfoniorkester employs permanently 65 musicians. Including 3 trumpets, 4 double basses, 12 first violins and 9 second violins. Salaries and conditions of employment in accordance with standard contract for musicians in Danish provincial orchestras. Non EU-citizens please note that employment is dependant on valid work and residence permit.
At Aalborg Symfoniorkester we have no age limit. Thus: everybody can participate irrespective of age.
Accompanist is at disposal at the audition. Applicants pay their own travel- and accommodation expenses.
NB. You can only attend the audition after filling out an on-line application form. At the same time please send a crossed cheque (or travellers cheques) for Euro 70 to Aalborg Symfoniorkester. The amount will be refunded at your appearance or by cancellation latest one week before the audition. Do not send us following papers: copies of certificates, diplomas, recommendations or photos.
