Double Bassist Benjamin Harris, a 19-year-old native of Xalapa, Mexico and four-year scholarship recipient at the Julliard School of Music, will present a concert on Sunday, March 9 at 4 p.m. at Temple Beth Or, 5275 Marshall Rd.
Harris will be accompanied by pianist Bryon Dobbs. Featured works will include Dragonetti?s Concerto in A Major, ?Prayer? by Ernest Bloch, and Koussevitzky?s ?Miniature Waltz.?
Harris recently performed the Dragonetti Concerto with the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra. He currently studies with Eugene Levinson, principal double bassist with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
Admission to the concert is $10. All proceeds will benefit Temple Beth Or?s Capital Campaign.
